Going the Extra Mile for Local Music: AIL Supports Miles For Music

At Amherst Innovative Living, we love supporting the people, places, and experiences that make our communities special. That’s why we were proud to support Miles For Music, an event celebrating local music and the connections between our neighboring downtowns.

Held on September 13, 2026, Miles For Music featured an 8.2-mile run, walk, and relay from Amherst to Northampton along the Norwottuck Rail Trail. With live music along the route and a finish at Taste of Northampton, the event combined outdoor activity with a celebration of the Valley’s creative community. Proceeds benefited The Drake and The Iron Horse, two nonprofit venues that help keep live music thriving in our region.

For AIL, supporting local arts is part of investing in the communities our residents call home. Music venues create opportunities to discover artists, spend time with friends, and connect with neighbors. They also bring energy to our downtowns, encouraging people to explore nearby restaurants, shops, and businesses.
