Paint, Eat & Connect: A Fun Friday at 11EP
There’s something special about the moments when creativity and community overlap - and at 11EP, residents got to experience both in one vibrant, welcoming space. From painting ceramic coasters to enjoying fresh, flavorful bites, this recent AIL event brought people together in a way that felt both relaxed and meaningful.
Throughout the day, AIL set up a hands-on creative station in the 11EP lobby, complete with ceramic coasters, paint, and brushes. Residents were invited to stop by anytime and design their own unique piece. Some took their time crafting intricate patterns, while others embraced bold colors and simple designs - each coaster becoming a small reflection of the person behind it. The setup created an easy, come-and-go atmosphere, allowing residents to participate at their own pace while connecting with neighbors along the way.
Later, the energy continued with Foodie Friday, featuring local favorite Bueno Y Sano. Known for its commitment to fresh ingredients and community-focused values, Bueno provided a delicious way for residents to gather and unwind at the end of the week.
Founded in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1995 by UMass alum Bob Lowry, Bueno Y Sano began with a simple idea: bring great burritos to a college town. What started as a small venture quickly grew, fueled by a strong response from the community and a passion for quality food. Today, the company has expanded to multiple locations across Massachusetts and Vermont, while staying true to its mission - “to make people happy.”
That mission was evident during Foodie Friday. Residents enjoyed meals made with fresh, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, reflecting Bueno’s philosophy of “Good from the Start.” Beyond the food itself, the gathering created space for conversation, laughter, and connection - turning a simple meal into a shared experience.
Events like these highlight what makes the AIL community so special. Whether it’s through a creative activity in the lobby or a shared meal with neighbors, these moments help build a sense of belonging that extends far beyond the walls of the building.
Keep an eye out for upcoming events - you never know what creative or delicious experience might be next!
