AIL Supports Link to Libraries
Amherst Innovative Living was proud to highlight Link To Libraries as their nonprofit of the month for March 2026! Link to Libraries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been working since 2008 to increase access to books for children in underserved communities. By distributing new books to schools and homes, the organization aims to strengthen language development and literacy skills among children of all cultural backgrounds. Their impact has been remarkable - having placed over one million new books into the hands of children, many of whom had never owned a book before.
The organization hosted a Link to Libraries Celebrity Bartender Fundraiser - an evening filled with energy, connection, and a shared commitment to childhood literacy. Hosted at Student Prince Cafe & The Fort, the event brought people together in support of an organization dedicated to putting books into the hands of children who need them most. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed live music, raffles, and time to connect - all while raising awareness and funds for a cause that directly impacts children and families across the region.
The importance of this work cannot be overstated. Research continues to show that access to books is one of the most effective ways to inspire young readers and set children up for long-term success in school and in life. By supporting Link to Libraries, AIL contributed to a mission that goes far beyond books - it helps open doors, spark imagination, and create opportunities for a brighter future.
As the event came to a close, it was clear that meaningful change happens when a community comes together. From volunteers to donors to attendees, each person played a role in supporting children and investing in their potential.
