Move-In Day, the Playa Way

Welcome back—and welcome in—Olympia Place family! Whether residents were returning for another school year or moving in for the very first time, the start of the semester was filled with energy, excitement, and community.

Move-In Day Highlights

Move-in day was a huge success thanks to the hard work of the Olympia Place team, who helped everything run smoothly from start to finish. To kick things off on a sweet (and refreshing) note, residents were treated to complimentary açai bowls provided by Playa Bowls Amherst—the perfect fuel for a busy day of unloading, unpacking, and settling in.

About Playa Bowls

What began as a small pop-up with a couple of blenders at the Jersey Shore grew into 300+ Playa Bowls locations nationwide, all rooted in a mission to promote healthy, sustainable living. Founded by surfers Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, Playa Bowls was inspired by global surf culture and the vibrant, nourishing bowls found in coastal towns around the world. Today, they continue to serve high-quality açaí, pitaya, coconut bowls, and smoothies made with fresh ingredients and a strong sense of community.

Why It Mattered

Move-in day marked the beginning of a new chapter for many residents, and small moments—like sharing a fresh bowl with neighbors—helped set the tone for the year ahead. It was a simple way to say welcome home and celebrate the community that makes Olympia Place feel like more than just a place to live.

Here’s to a great school year ahead at Olympia Place. 💛
