Welcome Home: Move-In Day Moments

Move-in day at the Amherst Innovative Living communities was full of energy, familiar faces, and new beginnings as residents arrived excited for the year ahead. The day’s goal was to create a welcoming, connected experience from the very start.

Behind the scenes, the day was made possible by a well-prepared team who were ready to support residents every step of the way. To keep everyone energized throughout the day, Jersey Mike’s Subs were provided for staff as they assisted with move-ins, answered questions, and helped residents get settled. Prioritizing staff care plays an important role in creating a smooth move-in experience—when the team feels supported, they’re better able to show up fully for residents.

To add a little extra fun to the day, AIL hosted a move-in giveaway. One lucky resident was selected to win a Protocol gift card. The giveaway was a small but meaningful way to celebrate move-in day and thank residents for being part of the community!

Protocol, located at our community, One East Pleasant, is known for its seasonally rotating menu, featuring fresh, local ingredients and everything made from scratch in-house. From house-made desserts and thoughtfully crafted dishes to an extensive wine list, rotating local beers, and creative spirit-free cocktails, Protocol offers something for every kind of night out—making it a perfect local favorite to spotlight during move-in week.

Together with community partners, AIL continues to find ways to make move-in more than just a logistical day—it’s a celebration. As the year gets underway, we’re excited to see residents reconnect, settle in, and enjoy everything the communities have to offer.
