Hot Chocolate Run 2025: A Community Coming Together
The Hot Chocolate Run 2025 was a vibrant celebration of Safe Passage, the Hampshire County organization dedicated to addressing domestic violence. Safe Passage works to create a world free of domestic violence and relationship abuse by supporting survivors and their families, engaging the community, and advocating for systemic change. All of their programs are free and confidential, including peer-support, counseling, advocacy, legal support, and community education.
This year’s event brought together over 6,000 runners, walkers, and community members on a crisp, beautiful morning in Northampton. Through the energy and generosity of participants and supporters, the Hot Chocolate Run raised a record-breaking $895,784 for Safe Passage — a powerful testament to the impact of community care.
Safe Passage primarily serves individuals and families in Hampshire County, with a partnership with Hilltown Community Health Centers extending services to rural areas of Hampshire and Hampden Counties. Their programs are survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and accessible to people of all genders and abilities, offered in English, Spanish, and other languages. By providing survivors with the support and information they need to stay safe and rebuild their lives, Safe Passage demonstrates how empowerment can drive meaningful social change.
