Supporting Our Schools Through Trivia: The 31st Annual Trivia Bee

The 31st Annual Trivia Bee, hosted by the Amherst Education Foundation, brought energy, laughter, and friendly competition to downtown Amherst on Monday, October 27, 2025. Held at The Drake on North Pleasant Street, the evening gathered trivia lovers of all ages to support Amherst’s public schools.

What Happened

Doors opened at 6:00pm, and the program kicked off as teams took their seats—many dressed festively in Halloween costumes, adding an extra layer of fun to the night. The event followed a Jeopardy-style format, complete with its own version of the Daily Double, keeping teams engaged and on their toes throughout the evening.

AIL staff proudly signed up as a team, dressed as Super Mario characters and even won the costume contest!

About the Amherst Education Foundation

Founded in 1994, the Amherst Education Foundation (AEF) has long served the Amherst-area public schools by promoting educational equity, supporting diversity, and encouraging excellence in learning. As an independent, nonprofit organization, AEF mobilizes broad community support for the public schools of Amherst, Leverett, Pelham, and Shutesbury.

The foundation’s work is made possible by the continued support of local businesses, parents, and community members who share a belief that strong public schools are essential to a thriving community.

Why the Event Mattered

The Trivia Bee was more than a game night—it was a meaningful way to support local public schools while bringing together neighbors, organizations, and businesses. Events like this showcase the strength of community collaboration and the fun that can happen when people come together for a shared cause.

With Gratitude

The Amherst Education Foundation extended thanks to this year’s generous sponsors, including Underwriter: Amherst College, Round Sponsors: Stakeholders Capital, UMassFive College Credit Union, PeoplesBank, and Amherst Innovative Living, as well as numerous Question Sponsors whose support made the evening possible.

The 31st Annual Trivia Bee was a memorable night filled with knowledge, creativity, and community spirit—and a reminder of how powerful it is to support education together.
